Hello my name is Chrissie Francis, I’m a professional freelance photographer living in Geelong.
I love working with a range of businesses (large and small) to create beautiful and impactful images for marketing, websites, social media and print.
I started my photography journey at the age of 12 learning on an SLR camera and developing images in a darkroom. My love of music and photography lead me down the path of becoming a music photographer for a number of years. I have photographed the likes of Nick Cave, Neil Young, Bryan Ferry, Paul Weller, You Am I, Sharon Jones and many many more. I loved working with artists.
At the same time, I juggled my other professional career - as a Marketing Manager for a number of organisations. I have over 15 years senior marketing experience with the last 8 years working in digital marketing. I have worked across corporate and government roles developing marketing strategies and campaigns with some big organisations (AGL, State Library of Victoria, Arts Centre Melbourne, Country Fire Authority, City of Greater Geelong (Arts & Culture) to name a few.
I decided to blend my two careers together and branch out on my own since marketing and photography go hand in hand these days. I’m in a unique position to be qualified professionally in both fields.
With an extensive marketing background I have a good understanding of the type of imagery many businesses require to get their message across. From big brands to small brands. I love creating content for brands that is unique to their business.
